Project archtectuRING®

Unique jewellery design made from the leftover acrylic panelling of the Kunsthaus Graz 2003/2004. Creating a line of jewellery from building waste.

The Kunsthaus Graz was built as part of preparations for the European Capital of Culture 2003 and has since then come to be regarded as the city’s new architectural landmark. The project planners, architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier from London, decided to envelop the modern building in translucent acrylic. Roberto Leonardi used the left over scraps of the acrylic panelling to create his own line of acrylic jewellery. Every item is handmade – a tiny sculpture made from an impressive piece of architecture.

Limited edition / for sale at the Kunsthaus Graz shop from 2004 until 2011.
